There is a reason we are named "Deck By Design" and not "Deck on a Whim"!
This particular 3D model took about 3 hours to create on SketchUp pro. Our 3D models are exactly to scale, every deck board is 5 5/16" with a 3/16" space between them. The rail posts with sleeves over them are 4". The double 2x10 beams are 9 1/2" tall by 3" wide. The 6x6 posts are 5 1/2"× 5 1/2". I can go on, but you understand the point I am making. There is no such thing as perfect, because we are human beings. However, this is about as close to perfect as a human can get. 'SketchUp Pro' is an absolutely wonderful program that when used intelligently can elevate your deck game by leaps and bounds!
